About Us
Welcome to the City of Rose Creek!
This quiet community in the Southland Rebel’s School District is home to approximately 396 residents. Surrounded by flourishing farmland, Rose Creek lies approximately 15 minutes from Austin and 35 minutes from Rochester. State Highway 56 passes through town, alongside the beautiful Shooting Star Trail. The Village of Rose Creek, founded in 1867, recently celebrated its Sesquicentennial in 2017.
Rose Creek boasts of its well-maintained Wayside Park and impressive new playground (2022), disc golf course (2021), volleyball court, tennis and pickleball courts, horseshoe pits, and Ulven Field, which holds scheduled softball games throughout the warmer months. During the winter though, Rose Creek is surrounded by various snowmobile trails and has snowmobile training. Not only is there Northern County Coop grain elevator, St Peters Catholic Church, United Farmers State Bank, and Rose Creek Post Office, but also many businesses in and outside of town. Some of these include Ulven’s Outdoor Power, Heidi’s Corner, S&L Distributing & Power Wash, Stinger Attachments, The Rosary of Rose Creek Air BNB, Wendel’s Auto Repair, Sarah’s Healing Energy and Massage, The Creek Bar & Grill, JD Driver, Nielsen Agronomics, Stinger Attachment, Choice Heating, Rosco’s Repair, and Diamond Tents and Tables of Rose Creek LLC, and more!
Rose Creek features two volunteer groups: the Rose Creek Fire Dept. and the Creek Club. For the youngsters, Southland Troop 114 Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts Pack 114, and Southside 4H (meets 2nd Sunday of the month). All these sponsor activities and family-friendly events throughout the year, all to bring people together and benefit the community. Rose Creek welcomes everyone anytime of the year but puts on their charm and grandest greeting during Rose Creek Days, the weekend after July 4th Holiday.
